‘burying hieronymus’ by Diandra Williams

Acquire the Strangeness
by Kerfe Roig

burying hieronymus

you told me, you’re over-
feeding him
; so i stopped

overfeeding him; you told me,
you run away from

everything
; so i ran
& ran; once in mid-february

you told me, let’s get
a beta fish
; so we got one,

and he swam the current
across our threshold

to the garden out front
