‘Explanation’ by Devon Miller-Duggan

Dimensional World
by Eva Reyes

Explanation

To save the earth, you must save its fifteen duplicates.

The black-chained baggage, Time, will
domino your every damned
divine rotundity.

If monkeys in the first link
don’t figure out the zig-zag sequence of the buttons:
foundered foundling earths—
confused blinks of one cosmic eye.

You can’t afford to keep on being anchorites—
all won’t be well, all manner
up and down the chain will not
be well until you find
a string of Gilgameshes and Enkidus
to hold hands across the purple-coral
space-dimension sphere
instead of pods, one person per.

You’re all too fond of scimitars
and missiles and now
you’re caught-up-with, so
make valentines with the ideas:
You’re not merely not alone.
You’re not unique.
The whole is a concertina
played by un-see-able hands,
more than two.
