‘Homewrecker’ by K. Dulai

Jar of Hearts
by Martina Rimbaldo

Homewrecker

I am looking at you from the hallway

because I want to be in the room with you

because I want to be breathing with you

soft on each other’s chests

that moist warmth

I don’t imagine

I’ll ever feel again

because I’m a useless fool

writing this poem

when I could be

doing dishes

sorting clothes

trying to figure

out which lever

on the washing machine

lets the sun in
