Issue Sixteen – Letter from the Editor

June 17, 2023

Hello wildings,
I’m writing this from a little house in Arroyo Seco, New Mexico where nightly the coyotes sing and daily a pair of magpies chatter. It’s a perfect spot to finish edits our MUSIC issue. From the wild serenity of this place, I am excited to bring you the work of our 47 contributors. In these pages you will find jukeboxes & sirens, aubades & serenades, churches & prisons, waiting rooms & white noise, guitars & saxophones & crickets & chainsaws, rain song & birdsong & train song. The feral ways that poetry and art and music interconnect as part of the human experience.

Feral is a labor of love and would not be possible without our readers, Narmadhaa and Jude Marr, and our Art Editor, Amanda McLeod. Or without the continued trust of our contributors and the kindness of our readers.

Cheers,
Beth Gordon
