‘look. again, a raven’ by Kristin Lueke

Feathers III
by Amanda McLeod

look. again, a raven

higher than creation, a shadow in the dogwood
came to carve me toward the tapestry, her wings
around my neck. i can say i called her closer, brought
her crackling through the canyon shifting shapes
i name my life. i know her by our symmetry.
how larger than a hawk & unafraid. that flight.
