Portraits (19 Weeks Pregnant)

When I walk now
it’s the way you feel

when your body is busy
making bones.

It’s like watching portraits
being painted

watercolors dripping
into each other

charging soul & neurons
placenta palettes
& fetal cell glazing

wet-into-wet wash
lancet of liquids & heartbeats.
