‘Wonderland of Wreckage’ by Mahailey Oliver

Black Mirrors
by Tony Schanuel

Wonderland of Wreckage

How far can grace go?
When he leaves, you feel so cold.
Shattered a glass ceiling
only to find shards embedded
in your feet from traipsing
barefoot through your wonderland
of wreckage. Oh, Alice, how
mad can you be? If a hatter hadn’t had you,
how much more would you see?

Could it be?
On the other side of the mirror
her forgiveness
her limits
her hesitations,
are only shatter-deep.
Run, Alice,
flee
while you are still mad enough.
